National Zakat Foundation (NZF) is a national charity which enables local Muslims to connect their Zakat to those who need it in the UK. NZF provides support to individuals and families in need through grants for Hardship Relief, Housing & Work, and Education. NZF also helps educate Zakat givers about calculating and giving Zakat .The amount of Zakat we give depends on the type of support the applicant has requested: In the Hardship fund, we give between £270 and £1105 depending on family size. In the Housing fund, we give up to £3,000 per grant depending on the specific Housing related need of the applicant. In the Work and Education fund, we give up to £10,000 .Islamic Relief UK has committed to funding this initiative with an initial investment of £112,000 and an agreement to match this figure in subsequent phases, bringing their total contribution to £224,000. This funding will help ensure that the necessary resources are available to adequately support affected families and individuals.
